As far as I can see, it's really nothing special. In fact ordinary, in the sense that probably the majority of women have a similar bottom. Nothing rare or unique about it, nothing worthy of sensational attention, nothing really much worthy of more than a passing glance.
Was the publicity fueled by women? Driven by lack of confidence in their own bums, they sought to elevate the mundane to icon status. Perhaps, and I suspect so.
